Leopard Cub Rescued at Chokidingi Tea Estate

Numaligarh: A baby leopard was recovered on Tuesday inside a drain of Chokidingi Tea Estate under Golaghat Forest Range of Golaghat Forest Division. The tea garden workers saw the leopard cub and the news spread in the neighborhood like wildfire. Thousands of people of the area gathered there to see the cub. Forest department personnel reached the spot and took custody of the baby leopard. A forest department source said that the cub was about five to six months old and might have separated from its mother when it came out in search of food.
