Lightning kills one, injures 3 persons in Barpeta district

BARPETA: One person died after being hit by a lightning in Barpeta district on Tuesday. Phulchan Ali (32) died at Seularvitha under Baghbar revenue circle in Barpeta district. Thunderbolt hit four persons on Tuesday. All of them were taken to Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH), Barpeta. In the hospital, the doctor declared Phulchan dead. He was working in the fields along with the three others. The injured are Surat Ali (25), Serban Nesa (60) and Soleman Ali (22). Serban Nesa's condition is said to be serious.
