Litterateur to be awarded

Dibrugarh, May 21: In an upcoming event organised under the aegis of Shruti Silpi Samaj and in association with DHSK College and Dr. Nagen Saikia Saraswata Nyas Parishad on June 3, eminent litterateur and former President of Asom Sahitya Sabha, Dr. Nagen Saikia would be awarded with the title of ‘Sahitya Bhaskar’, and would also be honoured with Shilpipran Raju Khemka Memorial Award. The programme is scheduled to be held at 3 pm at the Lalchand Kanoi Auditorium of DHSK College. Widely-known academic and writer, as well as recipient of Gnanpith Award, Padma Shri Dr. Pratibha Rai of Odisha would grace the occasion as its chief guest. Another noteworthy feature of the event would be the launch of the book named ‘Sahitya Bhaskar Dr. Nagen Saikia’ by the Xatradikaar of Shrishri Aauniaati Xatra of Majuli, Dr. Pitambar Deva Goswami.
