Loan sanction letters distributed among beneficiaries at Bongaigaon District Library

BONGAIGAON: For distribution of loan sanction letters among beneficiaries for various schemes going on under various departments of Bongaigaon district, 'Loan Mela 2021' was held at Bongaigaon District Library on Friday.

Loan sanction letters were ceremonially distributed to total 583 beneficiaries for a total amount of Rs 12. 17 crore, which is a record amount among all districts to have been sanctioned by the banks to the priority sector on a single day. Deputy Commissioner of Bongaigaon, Dr. M.S. Lakshmi Priya inaugurated the 'Bongaigaon Loan Mela 2021' in the presence of the Lead Bank Manager, Regional Heads and branch managers of around 15 banks of the district like SBI, AGVB, Axis Bank and Canara Bank.

In her inaugural speech, the Bongaigaon DC asked all beneficiaries to utilize the loan amount in order to turn their actual objectives behind applying for the loan into reality, without prioritizing other personal issues and necessities. Further, she appreciated the hard labour and effort put in by the banks for making it possible to issue loan sanction letters for a record amount of Rs 12,17 crore to the priority sector on a single day.
