Local holiday declared in BTAD today

KOKRAJHAR: The Principal Secretary of BTC on Monday issued order declaring December 15 as local holiday for the oath-taking ceremony of newly-elected members of the BTC Legislative Assembly.

Government offices will remain closed on December 15 in Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri on account of the oath-taking ceremony. Meanwhile, massive preparation was going on in a war-footing manner at Green Field, Kokrajhar for the oath-taking ceremony. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and State Finance Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma will grace the occasion as chief guest and distinguished guest.
