Lucky escape for two as dumper hits car near Demow

DEMOW: A high-speed dumper hit a Maruti Alto car from behind near the Thowra Doul near Demow on Monday due to which the Maruti Alto car hit an Ultra bus. According to sources, an Ultra bus (AS 06 BC 0230) which was coming from Dibrugarh and heading towards Sivasagar side, stopped near the Thowra Doul near Demow on Monday and the Maruti Alto car (AS 06 M 0598), which was behind the Ultra bus, also halted. At that time, a speeding dumper (JH 09 AK 1639) came and hit the Maruti Alto car from behind due to which the car went and smashed against the bus. Both the persons in the Maruti Alto car had a lucky escape. The driver of the dumper fled from the spot after the incident took place.
