GUWAHATI: In yet another terrible occurrence, the body of a young man from Lumding, Assam, was reportedly found cut into two pieces in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

According to reports, the young man reportedly called his mother and begged her to help him because he was about to be killed. “I won't have another chance to see you. I need your help, Maa”.

 The victim, named Tutan De, was discovered on the railway track in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, and split in half.

Tutan De worked as a bedroll provider in the train's AC section. De began his journey from Lumding to Dibrugarh on March 1. From Dibrugarh, he boarded the special Holi train to Gorakhpur to work as a bedroll supplier on the train.

The family of the deceased believes that Tutan was slain inside the train and that his body was thrown at Gorakhpur Station on the railroad track.

Tutan called his mother before he was killed to let her know he was going to die. He claimed that the murderers had prepared a strategy for how to kill him. He asserted that he would be murdered on Saturday night.

While initially his family couldn't believe it and believed he might be scared, Unfortunately, his family finally learned of his passing.

In the meantime, a police inquiry has been opened to find and apprehend those responsible.

In another incident, a 47-year-old man was given a life sentence for killing his own father, by a court in Manipur's Bishnupur district.

Khangjrakpam Boby from Khoijuman in the Bishnupur district was found guilty on Monday under Section 302 of the IPC of beheading his father, Sanakhomba alias Samungou, by the Court of Session Judge, Bishnupur.

According to Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) L Danny Meetei, on March 3, 2014, the accused killed his father by using a dao to hack off his father's head.

In response to Penu's statement that her son had decapitated her husband Sanakhomba during a fight, Bishnupur Police filed a FIR under Section 302 of the IPC, detained the suspect the following day, and started an investigation.

The court condemned Kho Boby to life in solitary confinement with a 5% fee after hearing the defence attorney and the APP's arguments.
