Mahendra Hazarika Injured in a Road Accident
He was travelling from Joysagar to Sivasagar
SIVASAGAR: Noted Assamese singer Mahendra Hazarika was injured when the car he was in met with an accident near Sivasagar. The incident reportedly took place on Sunday night.
According to reports, the well-known singer was travelling from Joysagar to Sivasagar when the accident took place. He was rescued from the damaged car and immediately shifted for medical attention to a hospital.
Bystanders who stood witness to the accident mentioned that the vehicle that Mahindra Hazarika was in, lost control and crashed into a tree on the side of a bridge. Bystanders helped in getting him out of the damaged vehicle and shifting him to a hospital.
No details have been released about if fog, faulty construction, equipment malfunction or any other reason was behind this accident.
