Man arrested in charge of killing wife in Naharkatia

NAHARKATIA: A dead body of a woman was recovered in Sasoni Kukura Puhia village under a thick bamboo tree on Thursday. The body was later identified by local villagers as Amina Gogoi (35), wife of Hemanta Gogoi (40). According to police, the local villagers saw the body and informed the police. Accordingly, Naharkatia and Sasoni outpost police recovered the body and had sent the body to Assam Medical College for post mortem. Family member’s of Amina Gogoi lodged an FIR against her husband in Naharkatia Police Station. Police have registered a case no.89/19 under IPC section 302/201 in Naharkatia Police Station. The husband and three others were arrested. Further investigation is under process. Police have produced the accused in court on Friday.
