Man dies after hit by truck at NH-37 in Methoni, Golaghat

Numaligarh: An accident took place on Wednesday at NH-37 in the Methoni area under Bokakhat Police Station in Golaghat district when a truck knocked down a pedestrian. As per information received, the speeding truck (AS-05C-1768) was coming from Guwahati towards Jorhat when it lost control and hit one person at NH-37 near Methoni, Bokakhat. He died on the spot.

The police have identified the deceased as Lakhiram Ghatuwal. The locals of the area stated that the truck was over speeding and hit pedestrian Ghatuwal. The locals nabbed the driver and handyman of the truck and handed them over to Bokakhat Police.
