In a nation where weddings frequently garner media attention, an Assamese man is becoming viral for celebrating the dissolution of his marriage rather than getting married. After years of personal hardship, Ali saw it as a time of freedom and decided to celebrate it in his own unique way.

Ali can be seen standing on a plastic sheet with four buckets of milk, one of which he pours over himself one after another in a video that has since gone viral, signifying what he called his "freedom." Ali can be heard saying, "I am free from today," during the entire celebration, which was captured on camera.
With over three million views and a flurry of emotions, the video swiftly went viral on social media. Other viewers were supportive, with one saying, "Good decision," while others were laughing.

It was reported that Ali had previously made an effort to keep his marriage intact for the benefit of their daughter. His wife, however, is accused of abandoning the family on multiple occasions and continuing an adulterous affair. Ali, who was deeply disturbed by her behavior, ultimately decided to seek for divorce, which was just approved.
