Man From Assam Launches 'Zelenskyy' Tea, Says Its Strong Like President of Ukraine

Guwahati: Assam-based startup company Aromica Tea, has introduced CTC tea named after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to honor Zelenskyy's valor and courage against Russian aggression.

Ranjit Barua, the director of Aromica Tea, said that the Assam CTC tea brand 'Zelenskyy' was introduced in the market on Wednesday.

"The basic idea is to honor the valor and courage of President Zelenskyy, who rejected the US offer to escape the war-torn country," media reports quoted Baruah as saying.

''Zelenskyy demanded ammunition to protect his country instead of a free ride. It shows his character,'' he added.

Barua further said that despite knowing that victory is not easy at all, the Ukraine President is still fighting, adding, ''We are trying to draw an analogy between his character and valor and Assam tea.''

He said that this tea will be available for sale online.

Notably, according to Tea Board data, Russia, is the largest importer of Indian tea, and in 2021, it had bought 30.49 million kg of tea. On the other hand, Ukraine imported 17.3 lakh kg of tea from India during the same year.

The war between Russia and Ukraine is going on for the last 22 days. Thousands of Ukrainians have taken up arms to protect their country from Russian aggression. Meanwhile, Ukraine has been extensively damaged in Russian shelling.

Ukraine's President Zelenskyy is constantly appealing to countries around the world to put pressure on Russia to stop the attacks. He has also refused to surrender and said that he will fight.
