JOYSAGAR: A farmer who owned about 25 bighas of land, many cattle, gold ornaments and cash, was allegedly killed by his son and grandson in the Mesaki Chapori area of Dihingmukh village in Sivasagar district recently.

Gunakanta Gogoi (80) went missing about 10 days ago and when the villagers asked his son about his whereabouts, the son could not give a satisfactory reply. This made the villagers suspicious. Police booked his son on suspicion and finally, he confessed that greed for the vast property made him and his son kill Gunakanta Gogoi.
