Managing Director of NHM Dr. Lakshmanan visits COVID-19 hospital at Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: Managing Director (MD) of National Health Mission (NHM), Dr. Lakshmanan visited Lakhimpur on Friday in order to take stock of the preparedness initiated in the district in order to contain the COVID-19 menace. During his visit, the MD of NHM inspected the COVID-19 Hospital of the district, set up at Telahi Model Hospital located at Bochagaon.

He declared that two ventilators would be installed in the hospital in the upcoming days. He expressed his contentment over the arrangements made in the hospital. He was accompanied by Lakhimpur DC Dr. Jeevan B, District Health Department Joint Director-in-charge Dr. Gunin Kumar Gogoi, District Surveillance Officer, IDSP Dr. Shilpi Saikia while visiting the hospital. Later Dr. Lakshmanan took part in a meeting with the Joint Director-in-charge and other officers of the Health Department on the COVID-19 menace. He lauded the team work of the Health Department of the district rendered in order to control the spread of the pandemic.
