Manash Uttam Neog from Tingkhong secures 5th rank in HSLC exam

NAHARKATIA: A student of Nilamoni Adarsha Jatiya Vidyalaya, Manash Uttam Neog secured 5th position in the HSLC exam.

He is the son of Bhaskar Neog, Political Science lecturer of Tingkhong College, and Rijumoni Neog, Principal of Nilamoni Adarsha Jatiya Vidyalaya. A joyous atmosphere prevailed in Nilamoni Adarsha Jatiya Vidyalaya as well as greater Tingkhong area after the HSLC exam result was declared on Saturday.

Manash secured a total of 589 marks, scoring 100 in General Mathematics, 100 in General Science, 100 in Social Science,99 in Advanced Mathematics, 96 in English and 94 in Assamese. While talking to media persons, Manash said that he used to study for 12 hours every day. Along with course materials, his hobby is to read other books. His favourite writers are Lakhminath Bezbaruah and Bhabendra Nath Saikia. His ambition is to become an engineer. He will study in Radhakrishna School of Arts, Science and Commerce, Dibrugarh in Science stream.
