Mangaldai Electrical Circle of APDCL releases souvenir

MANGALDAI: Synchronizing with the celebration of Vishwakarma Puja and keeping its nearly fifty-year-long tradition alive, the Mangaldai Electrical Circle (MEC) of APDCL here has celebrated the Vishwakarma Puja with a day long programme which ended at night with a colourful cultural evening with the crowd puller singer Priyanka Bharali as the guest artiste.

CEO of MEC Manoj Kumar Amchi inaugurated the jam packed cultural function while AGM of Mangaldai Electrical Division Pranjal Kataki illuminated the traditional earthen lamp. Earlier GM of APDCL Rangiya Zone Chandan Bora released the souvenir titled 'Pohar' published on the occasion and edited jointly by its staff Thaneswar Deka and Himangshu Deka. The daylong puja celebration which had begun with the installation of the deity early in the morning also marked the performing of the vedic rituals, community feast and presentation of the traditional folk culture 'Nagara Nam' by the local artistes. A large number of devotees and puja revellers thronged the puja pandal.
