Mangaldai Initiative Creates Awareness about Jan Arogya Yojana Scheme

Mangaldai: Mangaldai Parliamentarian Dilip Saikia has urged the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat-PM Jan Arogya Yojana to share their experience of the benefits of the central health scheme with people of their neighbourhood for its mass awareness.

Parliamentarian Saikia was directly interacting with a section of beneficiaries of the scheme in Darrang district at his residence at Bhebarghat on Saturday.

Addressing the gathering of beneficiaries, health officials and staff and party workers, Saikia said that this mega health scheme was introduced by the Narendra Modi-led Central Government with an aim to make a disease-free healthy India.

“The scheme has already covered 50 crore population of the country where as 65,000 families have been covered in Darrang district based on the 2011 economic and caste census,” said the parliamentarian.

Several beneficiaries, namely Jamuna Biswas of Mangaldai Gerimari, Nimai Kalita of Mudoibori Bezpara and Amina Khatun of Dhula Khataniapara shared their personal experiences of how the scheme helped them to recover from their health disorders following quality medical treatments.

The meeting was also addressed by Mangaldai legislator Gurujyoti Das, Additional Deputy Commissioner in charge of Health Department Navajyoti Oja and Joint Director of Health Services, Darrang, Dr Ruplal Nunisa. Earlier, MP Saikia greeted all the beneficiaries present in the function each with a phulam gamosa.
