Mangaldai Legislator Guru Jyoti Das Reiterates Commitment to Support Rank Holders

MANGALDAI: “Success has no shortcut and it is the duty and responsibility of the students to concentrate on study only and at the same time, the students should know, realize and acquire the moral values and ethics to become a person with all human values,” said Mangaldai legislator Guru Jyoti Das while taking part in the prize distribution day of North East Academy, a premier academic institution of the district, at Mangaldai.

In the jam-packed function organized at the District Library Auditorium on Saturday afternoon, legislator Das also announced to shoulder the responsibility of bearing all the expenditure in any higher institution of the country for the students of Mangaldai LAC who could secure position in the HSLC and HSSLC examination and appealed to the students to come forward to avail this facility.

Taking part in the function as the chief guest, he gave away the ‘Student of the year 2018’ award to Hiya Sarma and ‘Student of the year 2019’ award to Mrigalekha Dutta. The ‘Student of the Year’ award has been instituted in memory of lawyer Bhabani Prasad Mishra, the founder Principal of the Academy. Legislator Das also gave away the awards of ‘Promising Students’ to Raktim Jyoti Kashyap, Joyutpal Bharadwaj and Fardin Khan for their outstanding activities.

Mediaperson Bhargab Kumar Das and Abdul Khalek also attended the function as the guests of honour and gave away prizes to the winning students in various cultural competitions.
