Mangaldai OC Mukut Kakati receives CM's award on Assam Police Day

MANGALDAI: Assam Director General of Police Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, at a function organized to celebrate Assam Police Day on Saturday in Guwahati, ceremonially gave away the 'Chief Minister's award for Outstanding Performance' to Officer in-charge of Mangaldai Police Station, Inspector Mukut Kakati.

Inspector Kakati who joined the Assam Police as a Sub-Inspector of 46th batch in 2000, has been awarded for his outstanding performance during his tenure as the Officer in-charge of Dudhnoi Police Station in Goalpara district. Since his joining here as the Officer in-charge of Mangaldai Police Station on January 6, Inspector Kakati has been taking initiative to strengthen the organizational set up of Village Defence Organization in all the villages under the Police Station and started a plantation drive to plant 10,000 saplings in various locations with the help and cooperation from the villagers and the members of Village Defence Organization.

Very recently, as per the supervision of Superintendent of Police Prasanta Saikia, Inspector Kakati played the key role in making the recovery of 19 stolen motorcycles and arrest of notorious bike lifters from different locations in Arunachal Pradesh. Secretary of Mangaldai Media Circle Mayukh Goswami, Deputy Adviser of Village Defence Organization Mukut Saikia, President of Mangaldai Thana Committee of VDP Nayan Das and various organizations and peace-loving citizens here in Mangaldai have congratulated Inspector Kakati.
