Mangaldai Self-Help Group (SHG) to sell 1,25,000 masks

MANGALDAI: The rural women involved in Self-Help Group (SHG) under Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission of Pub Mangaldai Development Block have come forward with the novel idea of selling 1,25,000 masks in Mangaldai.

Till date, they have sold 5,000 beautifully designed masks at a very nominal price. Mangaldai legislator Guru Jyoti Das on Saturday inaugurated the stall of the SHG on the bank of the Borpukhuri in Jayanta Hazarika Park in presence of the members of the group, media persons and citizen while maintaining social distancing. The masks made of phulam Bihuwan are a special attraction among buyers.
