Manipur drug syndicate: Youth apprehended from Dhubri town

DHUBRI : A youth was apprehended by a police team from Guwahati having connection with Manipur drug syndicate on Friday. The police team picked up the youth somewhere from Dhubri town and brought him to Dhubri Police Station and whisked him away to Guwahati for interrogation.

When asked about the youth's involvement, Dhubri Superintendent of Police, Abhijit Gurav Dilip informed the local media that the youth was apprehended from Dhubri town on Friday evening. He had connection with drug syndicate in Manipur. Replying to another question, he said that some Jehadi connections were found in Dhubri district which has links with recent arrests in Morigaon. "But it is under investigation. I will brief media at appropriate time," he added.
