Manuh More Koi Book by Jogendra Nath Baruah released in Doomdooma

A CORRESPONDENT

DOOMDOOMA: Manuh More Koi, a collection of writings by retired education officer and renowned Assamese author Jogendra Nath Baruah, was released at a brief and solemn function organized at his residence situated at Gyanjyoti Path of Bishnu Nagar, Rupai Siding near Doomdooma on Friday. The write-ups included in the collection were published in various vernacular dailies and periodicals.

Eminent writer and retired Principal of Doomdooma College, Dr. Prafulla Medhi lit the ceremonial lamp at the inaugural programme while another eminent writer and State award winning teacher Sarat Chandra Chiring Phukan released the book. Besides Dr. Prafulla Medhi and Sarat Chandra Chiring Phukan, the inaugural programme was also addressed by journalist Abhijit Khataniar, the secretary of Rupai Sakha Sahitya Sabha, Jagannath Sonowal, and other dignitaries.

In their speech they appreciated the efforts of the author who will turn 80 in March next year.

The author's granddaughter, Bhaswati Handique recited a poem in the programme.
