Massive fire breaks out in Boko, 7 shops in a marketing complex totally gutted

Boko: A massive fire broke out in the Paramananda marketing complex on Tuesday morning at Boko in Kamrup district. Owner of the complex, Bharati Kalita suspects that the cause of the fire was electrical short circuit. Seven shops out of 10 shops in the marketing complex were totally destroyed in the fire. After getting information at about 5 am, the owner of an electronic goods shop in the complex, Pranab Kalita immediately rushed to the place and called the Boko fire station. Boko Police also reached the site. Later, police and fire brigade jointly extinguished the flames. Property worth more than Rs 1 crore was destroyed in the fire. Boko Police Station officer in-charge, Jogendra Barman said that they were investigating the incident.
