KOKRAJHAR: A massive fire broke out at Fakiragram main market in Rinakshi Sweets Shop on Sunday night. The fire spread so quickly that it engulfed a vast area, destroying all goods in the nearby shops.
Local people called the fire tenders. Goods worth Rs 70 lakh and other documents were destroyed in the fire, said a shop owner. Rinakshi Sweets Shop, Maa Kamakhya Jewellery and two other small shops were gutted in the fire. The affected shop owners have urged the authorities concerned to take appropriate rehabilitation measures.
