Matri Sanmilan of North Lakhimpur Sankardev Sishu Niketan Held

LAKHIMPUR: The Matri Sanmilan of the Basantalata Bisweswar Changkakati Suworani Sankardev Shishu-Bidya Niketan of North Lakhimpur was held on Saturday under the auspices of Matri Bharati and in association with the academic staff of the Niketan and its management committee.

The programme organized on the occasion at the Niketan kicked off with the unveiling of wall magazine by Genius Academy Junior College Rector Dr. Amiya Rajbonshi. The public meeting, which was chaired by Matri Bharati president Anjana Dutta Gayan, began with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by Niketan Management Committee president Rajesh Kumar Malpani.

Editor of Mahiyosee, Rani Bhattacharya explained the objective of the programme while Pradhan Acharya Ghana Nath delivered the welcome speech. Lakhimpur Division Balika Siksha Pramukh-cum-Acharya of Dhakuakhana Sankardev Shishu-Bidya Niketan, Bornali Devi graced the occasion as the appointed speaker while professor of Lakhimpur Girls’ College, Binu Dutta Hazarika took part as the guest of honour.

On the other hand, the Pradhan Acharya of the lower section of the Niketan, Rekhamoni Baruah released Mohiyosee, the annual publication of the Matri Bharati. Rajesh Malpani also spoke on the occasion while Rumi Changmai presented a Bishnu Rabha Sangeet.
