Media sensitization programme on Measles-Rubella vaccine held at Diphu ANM Training Center

HAMREN: The District Health Society and National Health Mission (NHM) organized a media sensitization programme on measles and rubella (MR) vaccine at Diphu ANM training center.

Children from 9 months to less than 15 years of age will be given a single shot of Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccination during the campaign to be launched by the State Health Department this month. The vaccine will be given at all schools, community centers, Anganwadi centers and government health centers during the campaign.

In total, there are 2,21,719 students studying in different schools of Karbi Anglong. The campaign will be launched at Diphu Civil Hospital, said Joint Director of Health Services, Dr. Kareng Rongpipi. In some hilly areas, due to lack of proper road communication link, the campaign may be postponed, said District Immunization Officer Durgeswar Ingti.
