Meeting held for 74th Republic Day celebration at Haflong

HAFLONG: In order to prepare for peaceful celebration of the ensuing Republic Day celebration at Haflong, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner i/c AR Mazumder at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's office on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by ADCs Kimchin Langum, L Khiengte, Assistant Commissioners Ibon Teron, Bruhid Rabha from the district administration and Rebecca Changsan, Deputy Secretary of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council, DSP Borkiri Teron, district heads of various departments, heads of educational institutions, representatives of social organizations and leading citizens. In the meeting, various departments were formally entrusted with responsibilities by the Deputy Commissioner to ensure preparation as well as smooth conduct of the programme. The 74th Republic Day will be organized in the district in a grand way centrally at NL Daulagupu Sports Complex, Haflong.
