DOOMDOOMA: The office of the Deputy Director of Urban and Rural Planning, Dibrugarh organized the second meeting with stakeholders on GIS-based Master Plan for Tinsukia, Digboi, Makum and Doomdooma on Thursday at the conference hall of Tinsukia Deputy Commissioner (DC)'s office.
The meeting was attended by officers and representatives of various concerned departments like Tinsukia Development Authority, Municipality, Public Works Roads and Housing, Electricity, Agriculture, Transport, Industry and Commerce, Water Resources, Panchayats and Rural Development. DC Narsingh Pawar urged to prepare a comprehensive master plan covering all the facilities that a developed city should have. He suggested that special emphasis be placed on construction of sewerage and roads during the preparation of the master plan.
The DC asked the departments concerned and stakeholders to submit their views in this regard immediately. Deputy Director, Urban and Rural Planning, Dibrugarh Office, Biswajit Bhuyan presented a PowerPoint presentation detailing the Master Plans prepared for Tinsukia, Makum, Doomdooma and Digboi. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Dipu Kumar Deka, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sharfraz Haque and president of Tinsukia Development Authority, Kajal Gohain.
