Men held with illegal weapon by Diphu Police

HOWRAGHAT: Diphu Police recovered one factory made .32 bore pistol and some ammunition from one Mintu Saikia resident of Dillaji Forest Gate locality under Diphu Police station police on Wednesday night. Police have stated that based on a secret input about the illegal weapon, Saikia's house was searched, police found one .32 mm pistol and two live ammunition from the possession of the accused person. Police have started an investigation for further details.
In another development, Karbi Anglong police has arrested two persons from different locations of the district and have recovered one .32 pistol and two live ammunition from their possession.
One Sanju Taro, resident of Tarabasa village and another Mindar Kro of Therabasa village under Dokmoka police station have been arrested. Police have informed that Mindar Kro was associated with a certain ultra group earlier. Karbi Anglong police are continuing with crackdown against illegal weapons.
