TINSUKIA: The Maharaj Singh & Kripadevi Charitable Trust of Laipuli in the outskirts of Tinsukia felicitated students of Dimoruguri gaon panchyat who secured more than 70 per cent marks in HSLC and HS examinations with cash incentives, in a programme held at Indira Gandhi High School Laipuli on Sunday with Mukunda Mahanta, headmaster of the school, in the chair.
While 13 HSLC students received reward of Rs 6,000 each, 7 HS students received Rs 7,500 each. The Trust has been encouraging students of greater Laipuli area during the past 35 years. Dimu Gohain, who secured highest marks from Indira Gandhi High School, was felicitated with cash money of Rs 9,000. Besides trustees Bandana Singh and Deben Singh, educationist Umakanta Chetia was present as chief guest.
