Mini Combine Harvester inaugurated at Tezpur's Saikia Chuburi, Barjhar village
Tezpur MLA Prithiraj Rava encouraged the farmers to take advantage of the latest technology introduced in the agricultural sector by harvesting paddy in the fields

TEZPUR: APART, Sonitpur District Agriculture Department and IRRI, OPIU ( Operational project implementation unit) -AGRI, inaugurated Mini Combine Harvester at Saikia Chuburi, Barjhar village, Tezpur in the Sonitpur district. Tezpur MLA Prithiraj Rava encouraged the farmers to take advantage of the latest technology introduced in the agricultural sector by harvesting paddy in the fields of the farmers himself through Mini Combine Harvester.
The programme was moderated by District Agricultural Officer Pankaj Saikia and IRRI expert Vivek Kumar explained in detail how farmers will benefit from the Mini Combine Harvester. The government has provided the combine harvester to the farmers at subsidized price and it will start a revolution in the agricultural sector. He also suggested to cultivate different crops according to the seasons on the same land.
During the programme, District Agricultural Officer Pankaj Saikia advised the farmers to take advantage of the state-of-the-art combine harvester offered to the agricultural production companies in the district at subsidized prices.
