KOKRAJHAR: State Forest and Environment, Excise and Fisheries Minister Parimal Suklabaidya, who had come to attend a cabinet meeting at Bongaigaon, chaired a meeting with the officials of the district administration and district heads of departments concerned in order to review various focus areas, on Tuesday.

In the meeting held in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's office at Kajalgaon, the minister was joined by Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar Shah, Additional Deputy Commissioners Khanindra Das, Ajit Kumar Sarmah, Subdivisional Officer (Sadar) Wahidul Islam and district heads of education, social welfare, public health engineering and health and family welfare departments.

Minister Suklabaidya reviewed Poshan Abhiyaan, Pradhan Mantri Mantru Vandana Yojana and Deen Dayal Divyangjan Pension Scheme of the Social Welfare Department and stressed proper and timely implementation of all these schemes. He enquired about the status of COVID vaccination drive and doctors' present position in the district from the health department. Similarly, he also checked the implementation of mid-day meal, free textbook distribution, school uniforms and civil work activities from the education department. Then he took stock of the progress of implementation of Jeevan Mission in the district being implemented by the public health engineering department, and urged the departmental officers to work with sincerity and dedication to upscale the progress of works.

Earlier, the minister also inspected Rowmari state dispensary, COVID vaccination centre of Dhaligaon, Baikhungaon Angadwadi Centre, Shatipur LP School and Jal Jeevan Mission schemes at Bilashpur village to take stock of the status of functioning and availability of infrastructure.
