Minister Phani Bhushan Choudhury reviews stock of essential commodities

Barpeta: State Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Phani Bhushan Choudhury visited Barpeta district to assess the situation in the wake of the outbreak of the pandemic COVID-19 in the world.

The minister reviewed the stock of essential commodities in the entire district in a meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Munindra Sarma, Superintendent of Police Dr Robin Kumar, all ADCs, Circle Officers, Joint Director of Health Services, Barpeta, and other high-ranking officials. Meanwhile, grocery shops will remain open from 8 am to 4 pm. Sanitization was done at Barpeta, Barpeta Road, Sarthebari, Pathsala and Bahari areas.
