DHUBRI: Pijush Hazarika, Minister of Water Resources, Parliamentary Affairs , Information & Public Relations , Social Justice and Empowerment inspected the on going anti-erosion works at Binnachhera and construction of Kanuri-Binnachhera Road located in the proximity of Indo-Bangladesh international border under the Golokganj assembly constituency in Dhubri district on Thursday.
Hazarika also inspected the on going anti-erosion works in Belguri village under same constituency and instructed the officials of Dhubri Divisional Water Resources Department to expedite the works and ensure completion of both the works within the stipulated time. A source in the concerning department informed that Rs 12.5 crore has been approved for the Binnachhera anti-erosion works and construction of road while Rs. 5 crore for anti-erosion works at Belguri. Hazarika told the media persons that his visit aimed at to ensure the quality of works and completion in time as desired by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
