Minister Sanjay Kishan assesses implementation of COVID-19 protocol in tea estates

DIBRUGARH: Tea Tribes Welfare Minister (I) Sanjay Kishan, during his visit to the tea estates - Sessa, Temto, Khanikar, Mancotta, Lepetkota, Durgapur, Barbaruah, Behating, Jamira and Jalan Tea Estates under Dibrugarh West Revenue Circle - had assessed the measures as taken by the managements of the respective tea estates in implementing COVID-19 protocol. He also had interaction with the tea labourers engaged in plucking. He also distributed masks among the tea labourers and looked into steps that were taken by the respective tea estates for sanitizing labour line and other anterior areas.

Later, visiting Barbaruah Gaon Panchayat office, Kishan personally distributed 5 kg rice each to those poor beneficiaries who did not possess National Food Security cards. The circle officer of West Revenue Circle, Pranjal Sarma Baruah and Assistant Commissioner Queen Gogoi accompanied the minister during his visit to the tea estates.
