Minister Sanjay Kishan takes stock of flood situation in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: Sanjay Kishan, Minister of Labour and Tea Tribe Welfare, who is also the Guardian Minister of Lakhimpur, visited the district on Saturday to take stock of the flood situation. During the visit, he inspected the severely flood-affected Gelahati, Roudung areas under Naoboicha Revenue Circle. There he interacted with flood-affected people and distributed fodder for affected animals.

Thereafter, he called on the bereaved family of journalist Subrat Kakati of Pothalipahar under Banderdrwa area, who breathed his last on June 13. He expressed his sympathy to the bereaved family on behalf of the State Government.

In the evening, the minister held a review meeting on flood with the district administration in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Sumit Sattawan and departmental heads of the district. He instructed the district administration to adopt every possible measure to tackle the flood situation in the district.
