Minor girl from Bebejia area rescued, kidnappers arrested by Nagaon town police

NAGAON: Nagaon town police led by TSI Gaurov Mahanta on Monday night arrested two youths from Morangiyal in Nagaon town for kidnapping a minor girl from Bebejia area and also rescued the girl. According to police sources, the nabbed kidnappers have been identified as Munna Ali and Wakil Ajbir of Morangiyal village in Nagaon town.

The sources said that the youths kidnapped a minor girl from Bebejia in the afternoon on Monday and with an aim to allegedly rape the girl, they took her to an abandoned house situated at Morangiyal village. But their plan was foiled by some local people and they immediately informed Nagaon town police and subsequently town police were able to arrest the two and rescue the girl too, the sources added.
