Miscreants Looted Gold Ornaments from woman in Demow

DEMOW: Sensation prevailed in the Demow Dehajan area when two miscreants looted gold ornaments from a woman of Demow Dehajan on Friday afternoon.

According to sources, two unidentified miscreants came in a motorcycle and entered the residence of Sadhana Dey in Demow Dehajan on Friday afternoon. They showed a powder with which gold ornaments could be washed. After that, they took a gold chain (1.5 tola) and gold earrings (more than 4 aana) from Babita Dey, wife of Sanjay Dey and a resident of Demow Dehajan. The ornaments cost around Rs.90,000.

A bag was recovered from the road, which was later given in the Demow Police Station by Babita Dey on Friday. Meanwhile, Babita Dey along with her family members informed the OC of Demow Police Station regarding this incident on Friday.
