BONGAIGAON: The district administration of Bongaigaon under 'Mission Morom' distributed 'Morom' packets in the presence of State Food and Civil Supplies Minister Phani Bhusan Choudhury on Monday. The packets consisted of milk, crayons, drawing books, biscuits, bread, butter, jam, Dettol soap, rice, soyabean and chocolate. They were distributed to children of age group 3 to 5 years for their mental and physical development, said Bongaigaon Deputy Commissioner MS Laxmipriya.

"The mission will cover pregnant women, lactating mothers, senior citizens, differently-abled persons, widows, women and children. More than 7,000 persons will be covered under the mission and also those who have come from other States recently. Under the Mission Morom initiative, our field-level teams will get in touch with the returnees from other States to ensure they are getting necessary assistance like relief, medical attention, skills for getting employment, jobs under government schemes and any other special care," the DC added.
