Mission Prayas by the Dhubri district administration concludes successfully in Dhubri district

DHUBRI: Mission Prayas which was started by the Dhubri district administration and the education department in collaboration with Piramal Foundation in June this year to upgrade and provide quality education, concluded recently. Prayas, a brainchild of Dhubri Deputy Commissioner Anant Lal Gyani, was launched by him in the district on June 28. More than 2,000 volunteers strived for providing quality education in schools all over the six educational blocks of the district. Volunteers in nine schools of Lohajani cluster, Agomoni educational block showed exceptional performance.

Attendance of the students increased drastically even if it was summer vacation. Now after completing a month of this volunteering service, attendance continues to be high in the schools.

They organized a closure event on August 3. The aim of the event was to maintain the continuity of such practices in the school and it was supported by the villagers and block administration. The whole Lohajani market was cleaned by the students and volunteers, trees were planted in different places and schools of Lohajani and events were held with cultural and sports slots. Community members also assembled in the venue at Lohajani ME School. The performance of the volunteers was praised by the Block Elementary Education Officer and Block Resource Persons.
