Miyungma Daogah Waterfall included in Dima Hasao's tourism map

In continuation of exploring new tourist destinations in Dima Hasao, the Miyungma Daogah Waterfall at Umrangso has been added in the tourism map of Dima Hasao as it was ceremonially inaugurated by Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) on Sunday.

HAFLONG: In continuation of exploring new tourist destinations in Dima Hasao, the Miyungma Daogah Waterfall at Umrangso has been added in the tourism map of Dima Hasao as it was ceremonially inaugurated by Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) on Sunday.

The inaugural function was attended by chairperson of NCHAC, Ranu Langthasa, Executive Members Biswasjit Daulagupu, Samuel Changsan, L. Darnei, Golonjo Thaosen, Ngamrothang Hmar and MACs like Monjit Naiding, Nojit Kemprai and Projit Hohai.

Development of such an easy way to approach the beautiful waterfall is one of the initiatives of NCHAC in making Dima Hasao one of the best tourist places of Assam. This was done by the Forest and Environment department of the district in association with the Tourism Department. The surrounding of the waterfall was developed in a record period of only 25 days for which the department was appreciated by all.

In this connection, a well-attended meeting was also held maintaining COVID protocol wherein speakers like EM Samuel Changsan, EM L. Darnei, EM Ngamrothang Hmar and MACs like Monjit Naiding and Nojit Kemprai spoke on the views of CEM Gorlosa for the development of the district and its people and to make this district one of the best districts of Assam in all spheres- be it tourism, sports, arts and culture. They further appealed to the people of Dima Hasao to extend their continuous support to the NCHAC for development.

CEM Gorlosa in his speech said that no one could stop him from fulfilling his dream of making Dima Hasao a place known for its natural beauty and its multi-talented people.
