MLA Jayanta Basumatary inaugurates upgraded Runikata Higher Secondary School

KOKRAJHAR: The newly upgraded Runikhata Higher Secondary School was ceremonially inaugurated by Jayanta Basumatary, MLA of Sidli constituency, in the presence of Madhab Chandra Chetri, Member of Council Legislative Assembly, Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) on Tuesday.
Addressing the gathering in a function held under the chairmanship of Satyendra Singh, principal of Runikhata Higher Secondary School at their school premises, MLA Jayanta Basumatary said that he was delighted to be the part of the inaugural event of the newly upgraded Runikhata Higher Secondary School. He hoped that the upgrade of this institution from high school to higher secondary school was a gift to all the people of the Runikata area, especially to the students. "Now students won't have to travel far for their higher studies. This will save their extra time as well as expenses for which they had to bear for commuting daily from their homes to their schools located at a far distance, " he said. He termed it a step closer to better schooling and hoped that this would enhance the number of enrolment of students in the area in the days to come.
