Model Anganwadi centres inaugurated in Doomdooma

DOOMDOOMA: Rupesh Gowala, MLA, Doomdooma constituency, inaugurated the newly-constructed Model Anganwadi Centre at Line No 6 of Daimukhia Tea Estate here on Saturday.
In his inaugural speech, MLA Gowala explained the necessity of such anganwadi centres in the context of the National Education Policy, 2020. The inaugural programme was attended by the manager of Daimukhia Tea Estate, Debarshi Bora, president of Daimukhia Gaon Panchayat (GP), Dipmala Karmakar, member of Hapjan Anchalik Panchayat, Rup Kumar Tanti and others.
Later, MLA Gowala also inaugurated another Model Anganwadi Centre at Line No. 9 of Baghjan Tea Estate. Both these Model Anganwadi Centres were constructed at a cost of Rs 25 lakh allotted by the Social Welfare Department. Altogether 11 such Model Anganwadi Centres have been sanctioned for Doomdooma LAC and four among them have been inaugurated.
