DULIAJAN: An August gathering of more than 500 students witnessed the opening ceremony of the 3rd DPS Duliajan MUN conference DHI 3.0 at the school auditorium today. The occasion was graced by Dr Barun Dey, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, Dibrugarh University, the esteemed Chief Guest for the occasion. DPS Duliajan organises Model United Nations annually to provide participants with a unique opportunity to engage in diplomatic debates, negotiation, and consensus-building while addressing some of the world's most pressing issues.

The theme of DPSDMUN DHI 3.0 is “PROMOTING HUMAN SECURITY IN THE AGE OF TECHNOLOGY”. More than 200 delegates who started participating in the programme are not only from DPS Duliajan but also from neighbouring schools such as Assam Public school, ST. Xavier’s and Oil India Higher Secondary School. The programme started with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp .The esteemed panel of Executive Board Members who have been invited to chair the different committees were also felicitated. Dr Barun Dey ,the honourable chief guest for the occasion addressed the gathering and regaled the audience with his words of wisdom. The audience also witnessed a few cultural items. The 3 day long programme which commences from today will surely be an extremely stimulating and enriching session for the delegates which will offer them a platform to learn about global issues and to develop public speaking and critical thinking skills.
