NAGAON: District Governor of Rotary Club, Nilesh Kumar Agarwal visited Nagoan Rotary Club recently and also ceremonially released Hope, a monthly mouthpiece edited by Vikash Bajaj at a function held near Haibargaon Khutikatia.
Wife of Nilesh Kumar Agarwal, Laxmi Agarwal, assistant governor Arun Agarwal, Birendra Kumar Jain and Aman Dassani, president and secretary of Nagaon Rotary Club respectively, were also present during the programme. While addressing the occasion, Nilesh Kumar Agarwal explained about how a Rotarian could carry out social service in society and also answered the questions asked by a host of Rotarians. During the programme, Birendra Kumar Jain inaugurated the service of an ambulance donated by MP Pradyut Bordoloi to the club. Nilesh Kumar Agarwal also inaugurated a drawing competition organized as a part of the ‘Taare Zameen Par’ programme by Nagoan Rotary Club on Saturday at Nagaon Government Boys’ HS School. Over 1,000 students from pre-nursery to class 12 across the small town participated in the competition. Local MLA Rupak Sarma was present as the chief guest.
