More than 200 BJP members join Congress in Dhekiajuli

DHEKIAJULI: As the date of voting for the first phase elections is at doorstep, the campaigning in the Dhekiajuli Assembly Constituency by different political parties has become more exciting. On Monday, more than 200 BJP supporters joined the Congress (I) in Dhekiajuli. On Sunday, under the leadership of Pranoy Biswas, Sanjib Paul, Suman Shill, Usha Shill, Mithu Shil Nitai Shill, Yadab Shill and Biplab das of Mazrowmari Gaon Panchayat under Dhekiajuli constituency more than 200 BJP supporters joined the Congress (I) at the Dhekiajuli Congress (I) Election Office. On the other hand, Ganak Boro of Sopai Gaon Panchayat also joined the party. Ganak Boro in the last Panchayat elections contested as the president from Sopai Gaon Panchayat under BJP ticket and won the election.
