Morigaon DC Rituraj Bora Assures To Set Up Soil Testing Lab

Morigaon: The Mukhyamontri Krishi Sa-Sajuli Yojana was formally inaugurated by Morigaon DC Rituraj Bora at Tarunram field on Friday. Inaugurating the incentive aid programme, DC said that a soil testing laboratory would be set up at Morigaon town soon considering farmers’ benefit.

The government of Assam has provided the incentive aid of Rs 5000 each to seven farmers for the first phase for buying equipment of crop cultivation. The yojana has included 17,700 farmers of total 85 GPs in the district. Earlier the cheque distribution ceremony started with an inaugural speech by Agriculture officer Harendra Nath Talukdar. Thereafter Suraj Kr Kalita, DAO, Morigaon spoke about the need of developed technology in agriculture sector at length.
