Motorcycle crashes into car door, one killed in Udalguri district

TANGLA: A middle-aged man who was a popular automobile mechanic, was killed in a road accident near Tangla Chariali on Mangaldoi-Bhutiachang road in Tangla town of Udalguri district on Saturday evening.

The deceased, Dipu Saha (45), an inhabitant of Pujakhola locality of the town, crashed his motorbike in the open door of a Hyundai i10 car bearing registration number AS01DW8157. He was later rushed to Mangaldoi Civil Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.

"The victim crashed the motorcycle (AS13D7507) in the door of the car which opened suddenly. There was negligence on the part of the car driver and we are investigating the matter," said a police officer of Tangla Police Station privy to the case.
