SILCHAR: Minister for Transport, Excise & fisheries Parimal Suklabaidya graced the MoU signing ceremony of the retail service providers of IOCL/HPCL outlets at the lands belonging to Assam State Transport Corporation(ASTC) who have been selected to through a transparent online tender process (tender floated for 19 nos of locations (HPCL-12, IOCL-7) vide No: ASTC/HO/B&C/LOP/2400/21-22/144 dtd. 02/07/2022 through e-procurement portal of Government of Assam) .

85 bidders responded to the tender for 16 (sixteen) locations & H1 responsive bidders each were selected for the locations. This fuel retail outlet leasing out initiative is a part of ASTC's holistic plan to productively utilize the vacant lands & assets of the organization & contribute towards revenue generation of the organization.

A fixed monthly rent of Rs.50,000 along with the percent quoted by each bidder above the base price for each location will be paid by the respective bidders to ASTC.

The MoU signing ceremony took place at the conference hall of the Transport Minister in Janata Bhawan, Dispur & was attended by Chairman of ASTC Mission Ranjan Das, Vice-Chairman Pranab Jyoti Lahkar, Managing Director of ASTC Rahul Chandra Das,ACS, Chief Engineer & senior officials of ASTC, stated a press release.
