Muster roll employees of the Soil Conservation department deprived of salary for 23 months

A Correspondent

Haflong: Even after the order of the Gauhati High Court, at least seven muster roll employees of the Soil Conservation department in Dima Hasao have been deprived of their salary since the past 23 months.

These hapless muster roll employees with their meagre salary have been suffering a lot due to non-regularization of their services and non-payment of their salary. They had approached the high court, which ordered the department concerned to clear their pending salaries and to regularize their services within three months from the issue of the order dated 01.11.2018. But the department neither regularized their services nor cleared their salaries.

Talking to this correspondent, Subal Nayak and Debeswar Kachari alleged that they had been moving from pillar to post for the solution to their problems but no help was given. The muster roll employees had been working in the soil conservation department in Dima Hasao for more than 20 to 30 years and there is office memorandum dated 27.06.2013 for regularization of their service.
